Oscar H. Salcedo
Oscar is an aggressive engineer and entrepreneur who directs professional staffs and improves efficiency, yield, and cycle times and cost controls. Oscar has strong managerial skills in staffing, training and developing and implementing manufactuirng operations as well as strategic business planning. He has started up and currently manages four businesses in US and Mexico. These businesses include Quality Systems Registrations, Training and educational experiments, Software development for the manufacturing industry, and technology assistance for the disabled. Highly proficient in the use of statistical techniques to analyze, evaluate and propose solutions to a wide spectrum of problems.
As the Coordinator of International Manufacturing at the Institute of Manufacturing and Materials Management (University of Texas at El Paso), Oscar:
- Works with companies on both sides of US-Mexico border in the field of Quality.
- Facilitates transfer of production operations into Mexico including processes and logistics.
- Develops training programs and deliver training courses for private industry on both sides of the US-Mexico border.
- Developed ISO 9000 software in English and Spanish to assist companies implement system.
- Assists Small/Medium size manufacturers to increase productivity, quality and competitiveness.
- Designs and supervises Six Sigma projects.
